Converted Barn Kitchen, Batherton

Emma contacted us online to arrange a Quote for her Kitchen.  We carried out our initial visit soon after.

At our meeting, She was concerned that having an extensive project done would create a lot of dust and mess throughout the house, Emma is very house proud and deeply concerned about such a project, We assured Emma that we would contain any mess and dust to the main work area, and it would be cleaned up at the end of every day and not spread to the rest of her home.

This put her mind at ease.

About The Project

During our Initial visit we discussed the kitchen layout and styles she was thinking about. She wanted a very similar layout to her existing kitchen with the addition of a large island to enable seating all round. We are able to put all the ideas and styles into our design software to create a detailed 3D image to showcase to our clients what their kitchen will look like, Once the designs were sorted, Emma asked if we could replace the floor tiles as the existing tiles were cracked and chipped, The new tiles she had chosen were a long wood effect plank and we advised they were a great match to her new kitchen.

The Process & The Kitchen Design & Build In Progress

We arrived on day one of the two week installation, started to remove the old kitchen and tiling. So the preparation for the plumbing, electrics & tiling could be started once all the old components were removed. Our dedicated Electrician was able to first fix for the new pendant lighting to go above the island and prepare for the appliance connections. The floor tiles were laid first using a tile leveling system which gave a very flat surface to install the new kitchen units on. Once the tiling was complete we installed the new kitchen units. At this stage the kitchen is ready for the Quartz worktop Templating, Then in approx 5 working days the new shiny Quartz worktops will be installed. In the meantime our customer liked the floor tiles so much that she decided she would like them to run throughout the entire ground floor. We were more than happy to accommodate this additional work as it was much more efficient to continue through with the tiling at that point than to come back at a later date.
Here you can see the work involved and what the space looked like as things progressed.

The Results

The whole project was completed with stunning results and our client was overjoyed with her new kitchen and flooring. Projects of this size, spec and amount of installation work can cost anywhere from £15000 - £30000 this all depends on factors like worktop material, size, type and brand of appliances, a smaller room with different spec could cost between £10000 - £19000 These are just guides and you will need a quote to know for sure.
